About Boldcall
Everyone in the group chat swears they saw it coming. Boldcall keeps the receipts.

The idea
Someone starts a bet with a date on it. Everyone in the group locks in For sure or No way, in secret. Nobody sees anyone's side, not even whoever started the bet, until reveal day. Then it all comes out at once: who backed you, who said no way, and who was right.
The bet is out in the open from the start. What's secret is everyone's pick. You commit with no idea what your friends think, and then you live with it. The lonely pick pays best. Right when almost nobody agreed? Up to 100 points. Right with everyone? 10.
Make bets about eight things: friends and life, school, the NFL, the NBA, college hoops, the 2026 midterms, reality TV and awards season. They're friendly bets, with no money ever. Boldcall also does time capsules: a note, with photos and a video, locked until reveal day.
Why "Boldcall"
A bold call is the one you'd be embarrassed to get wrong. The underdog. The upset. The friend who finally shows up on time. Boldcall makes that call worth making, and makes sure everyone remembers who made it.
What we won't build
| Never | Why |
|---|---|
| Real money, prizes or odds | Money turns "who got it right" into "what are the odds". More. |
| Fake activity or made-up rankings | If it's quiet, it looks quiet. |
| An anonymous mode | Your pick is already secret when it counts. |
| AI that predicts, writes bets or decides results | Arguing is the fun part. More. |
| A swear filter | We filter for harm, not words. More. |
Who makes it
Seth Ahmed started Boldcall. Say hi at [email protected].
Boldcall is free. If it ever makes money, it'll most likely be from teams, broadcasters and workplaces that want their own version. Never by charging for points.
